TECH TIP ON ENGINE ROTATION
WHAT IS MY ENGINE ROTATION?
Engine rotation is determined by the direction of the flywheel.
Most I/O engines are LEFT HAND rotation. Do not rely on the rotation of the propeller rotation to determine the engine rotation.
LEFT HAND ROTATION
If the flywheel turns counter-clockwise:
Belts turn clockwise.
This is standard rotation.
RIGHT HAND ROTATION
If the flywheel turns clockwise:
Belts turn counter-clockwise.
