ARCO Zeus Omega™ Wins 2026 IBEX Innovation Award

Zeus Omega™ Alternator Control System recognized in the Electrical Systems category at IBEX 2026.

PENSACOLA, FL. — October 6, 2026 — ARCO Marine is proud to announce that the Zeus Omega™ Alternator Control System has been named a 2026 IBEX Innovation Award winner in the Electrical Systems category at the International BoatBuilders’ Exhibition and Conference (IBEX) in Tampa, Florida.

The IBEX Innovation Awards, managed by the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) and judged by Boating Writers International (BWI), recognize outstanding product development and technological innovation across the recreational marine industry. Zeus Omega was selected from a field of 100 products submitted by exhibiting marine industry companies.

In recognizing Zeus Omega, IBEX judge Steve Mitchell highlighted the system’s distributed architecture, simplified installation, Hall Effect current sensing, ability to control up to six alternators, and integration capabilities with modern marine electrical systems.

“The ARCO Zeus Omega splits the alternator regulator in two, with a potted drive module at the alternator and a control module near the batteries, connected by one cable instead of a large bundle of wiring.”
— Steve Mitchell, IBEX Innovation Awards Judge

Reimagining Alternator Control

The ARCO Zeus Omega Alternator Control System reimagines traditional alternator regulation by separating the system into an Alternator Drive Module (ADM), installed at the alternator, and a Control Module positioned near the battery bank. A single communication cable connects the two, dramatically reducing the wiring traditionally required between the alternator and regulator.

The modular architecture allows one Control Module to manage up to six ADMs, making Zeus Omega particularly well suited for multi-engine and high-output charging installations. Hall Effect current sensing further simplifies installation by eliminating traditional shunts, while connectivity and integration capabilities allow Zeus Omega to work within increasingly sophisticated onboard electrical systems.

What Makes Zeus Omega Different

ONE CABLE: Replaces the traditional multi-wire connection between the alternator and regulator.
MODULAR ARCHITECTURE: One Control Module can manage up to six Alternator Drive Modules.
HALL EFFECT SENSING: Simplifies current sensing without traditional analog shunts.
FAST INSTALLATION: Designed to reduce an installation that could traditionally take hours to under five minutes.
SYSTEM INTEGRATION: Built for increasingly sophisticated modern marine electrical systems.
“This award is especially meaningful because Zeus Omega was developed to solve real-world challenges for boat builders, installers, technicians, and end users. We already had an advanced user interface that gave customers exceptional control over their charging systems, but the physical installation was still much like any traditional alternator regulator. With Zeus Omega, we set out to innovate the entire experience. By dramatically reducing the wiring, complexity, installation time, and associated costs, we’ve simplified an installation that could traditionally take hours to one that can now be completed in under five minutes. That’s an advancement that benefits the entire industry, from the OEM building the boat to the technician servicing it and the customer using it.”
— Ben Stoddard, CEO, ARCO Marine

Part of the Growing Zeus High Energy System

The award comes as ARCO continues expanding its Zeus High Energy product line, including its Zeus High Output Outboard Alternators, designed to dramatically increase the electrical power available from a vessel’s propulsion engines.

Together, Zeus Omega and ARCO’s high-output alternators provide a complete charging solution for increasingly power-intensive marine applications.
