ARCO Launches New ARCO Zeus 24V High-Output High Amp Alternators

Pensacola, FL – January 13th, 2025 – ARCO Marine, a leading provider of marine and automotive electrical solutions, is excited to announce the launch of its new line of ARCO Zeus 24V high-output alternators. This innovative product line is designed to meet the growing demand for reliable and efficient power solutions for a wide range of applications, including marine, RV, and commercial vehicles.

The new 24V high-output alternators are available in two models:

• ARCO Zeus 24V 7kW High Output Alternator: Ideal for users who prioritize charging at cruising RPMs or on the road. Provides class-leading output at mid to high RPMs.

• ARCO Zeus 24V 4kW Low Turn-On (LTO) High Output Alternator: Perfect for users who prioritize idle speed charging (at campsite or anchor), offering exceptional performance even at lower engine RPMs.

The ARCO Zeus 24v 4kW LTO alternator turns on at lower RPMs, runs cooler and provides more power than older designs that are larger and heavier. This alternator continuously generates over 1.4kW (51 Amps) at just under 1,500 RPM, and almost 2.4kW (87 Amps) at 2,000 Alternator RPM. Put in real world terms, a marine diesel engine idling at 750 RPM with a 2:1 pulley ratio is generating over 1.5kW (55 Amps), and a Mercedes Sprinter at 750 RPM with a 3.21:1 ratio is generating over 2.5kW (91 Amps)!

The ARCO Zeus 24v 7kW alternator generates extremely high amperage at cruising and higher RPMs. This alternator continuously generates over 3kW (109 Amps) at just under 3,000 alternator RPM, and almost 6kW (218 Amps) at under 6,000 RPM. To put in real world terms, a marine diesel engine at 1,500 RPM with a 2:1 pulley ratio is generating over 3kW, and a Mercedes Sprinter at 1,800 RPM with a 3.21:1 ratio is generating over 6kW!

Not sure which one to choose? Pick the 24V 4kW LTO Alternator if most of your charging is at idle or below 2,800 Alternator RPM, and your loads while running at operating RPMs not exceeding the output at that RPM, leaving room for battery charging. Choose the 24V 7kW Alternator if you charge at operating rpms at or above 2,800, and or have high 24V loads while at operating RPM.
